Looking for small and pleasant dressage mount |

Looking for a very specific horse; please read carefully. This horse is for a rider who has Lupus and has reduced strength, balance and energy levels. They are an experienced rider, but need a horse that is easy on their body.
Would like the horse to be trained and safe at walk/trot/canter. MUST have an easy to ride trot and not be super strong in the bridle. Can still be green, just not bucky/bolty. No green older horses though....training should be suitable for its age. Would like to have a hope of getting to PSG with this horse, so must be mentally well suited to the job, but does NOT have to be a fancy mover...just able to do the job (eventually).
Must be at least 5 years old. Prefer a gelding, but will consider a mare or stallion.
NO greys ,pintos, or horses with a lot of white on their bodies/legs. No double dilutes either.
Rider is tall, but light weight. Has ridden ponies (14 hands) and been fine if they are deep chested. We do NOT want something much over 16 hands as it is hard for rider to mount/dismount. Preference to big barreled small equines.
A horse that has done some trail riding and been ridden off property a bit is ideal. A proven dressage competitor is also great!
Buyer will consider horses with soundness issues/special needs as long as they can be maintained drug free (for showing) and can be on group turn out. Not looking for a horse that has to be stalled 24/7 or kept in a private pen as a rule. |

Retired 3rd level dressage horse |

"Retired Upper Level Schoolmaster Desired"
I am looking for a retired third level or higher schoolmaster of a warmblood breed (but please no thoroughbreds or arabs). Would prefer a taller horse (16.2 hh - 18 hh), but would consider anything 14 hands or higher, and would also consider spotted/paint warmbloods. I have excellent references from dressage trainers, vets, and riders. I lost my old school master Hanoverian gelding due to age, and am looking to replace him and learn the higher level movements. It doesn't matter what gender it is, I love them all.
I will give your horse an excellent home with the proper feed, hoof care, dental care, vetting, blanketing, and large stall w/indoor arena...a forever home at a professional barn where I board.
We can deal with one of two situations: (1) You are looking for a retirement home where your horse will stay fit and loved, but not worked too hard (because I am not showing, but learning). Age will not matter at this point as long as he can still perform piaffe and passage a couple of times per week, and can trailer occasionally to a clinic. (2) If your horse is nearing (but younger than) 20, and you would like an up-and-coming flashy (dark bay with 4 white socks and a crooked blaze) sane 16.3 hh, 4 year old Wakant/Wallstreet dressage gelding with chrome...one that is going quietly at WTC at training level and knows some lateral movements...we can work out a trade. My guy has floaty gaits and loves his work and people. He is a talented jumper, too (but I don't do that anymore). I just don't feel that I have the time to put into him and then learn everything that I want to do, too. I'm older and got a late start, so my priorities have changed. I have video and pics of him, and he will pass any vet exam with x-rays. He's had very good care and careful training.
I am interested in Hanoverians, Westphalians, Fresians, Haflingers, Hessens, Holsteiners, sport horses, warmbloods...generally sturdy horses with big movement. I am not interested in spooky, bratty, unresponsive, or slim horses, or ones with choppy gaits. My horse has good movement and good bone and great bloodlines, and he has potential to move all the way up the levels, so if we are trading then lets be fair to each other.

I am looking for a physically and mentally sound 17.2+ black gelding hunter/jumper (no grey's and no mares' please) well schooled and or shown in Dressage/Equitation and or Hunters to 3’6” at least. I am currently taking a few horses in on consignment. This is a great opportunity to get your horse in full professional training with no cost to you until sold, with access to a very well established sales team here in Chicago. We are in the heart of the the competitive area here in the Midwest, conveniently located for many large farms and trainers to come see, as well as having an established relationship with these trainers. Our farm is a private farm with individual turnout off of each stall, grass pastures, large indoor, cross country course, and gallop track. With consignment, you are responsible for any vet care, board, farrier ext, as you would if the horse stayed with you.
We would create a sales plan, which includes a detailed conditioning/training plan, a sales video, professional pictures, sales fliers, and web advertisement on our site. I would also be available to actively campaign the horse.
Your horse would be actively marketed to our current clients as well as any potential ones we come across, and we are highly motivated to help your horse get sold. This is our first priority. If you wish your horse to gain show experience, this can be arranged as well.
I specialize in hotter, more sensitive horses, jumpers, hunters, eventers, and dressage horses with experience up through 4' jumpers/hunters/eventers and 4th level dressage. I also can take in stallions.
Full insurance would be carried on the horse in case of any injuries.
I can also take in training horses/young horses to be broke out.
