he Trakehner major sire Kostolany is the “Stallion of the Year” in 2009. Born at Gestüt Hämelschenburg in Emmerthal in 1984, Kostolany was the Champion of the stallion approvals in Neumünster and has stood at stud for his owners, the Langels familiy, ever since. He is one of the most influential Trakehner stallions of the past years and has had significant impact on other warmblood breeds through various sons. He sired the Neumünster Champion stallion E.H. Gribaldi, who not only enjoyed an international Grand Prix dressage career with Edward Gal, but is one of the leading dressage sires in the world today. His sons Painted Black/A. van Grunsven and Moorland’s Totilas/E. Gal are among the very top of Dutch dressage horses, and Totilas is the current World Record holder after his stunning victory at the European Championships in Windsor in 2009. E.H. Gribaldi is also sire of the two Trakehner reserve champins E.H. Hofrat and Hoftänzer. Hofrat, also a celebrated stallion in the Hanoverian breed, produced the Verden Champion stallion Hotline, who sold at auction for the record breaking price of 800.000 Euro. Furthermore, Kostolany sired the premium stallion Tolstoi, an influential sire in Germany and today represented at the Langels Stud by his champion son Freudenfest. Kostolany is also the sire of the FEI dressage stallion Silvermoon, who gave the dressage world the female pendent to Totilas, the grey mare Matinee, who in 2006 ruled at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. Kostolany’s approved son Showmaster had an international career in dressage, and his son Sans Souci is a known show jumper sire in East Germany. With Elfado and How Ever, two young and exciting Kostolany sons have been added to the line-up in recent years and Elfado already placed 4th at the Bundeschampionat in 2008. Kostolany is one of the most versatile stallions today, whose offspring just as well succeed in show jumping and eventing. He sired over 150 registered broodmares for the Trakehner breed in Germany and continues to produce outstanding in hand champions, auction highlights and sport horses for all disciplines

Has DAP,hindlegs touch ground before front at trot,very good.Pays close attention to rider.Purebred Trakehner ORB-A-M2586 filly foaled 5-03. Superstitious is 16.3 hh at 5 yrs old. She is feminine yet has the look-at-me presence of a stallion. Very correct conformation and show ring gorgeous even though she stays out on pasture all the time. Fantastic movement at all gaits. Good disposition.
Her sire, Heling, was a top rated sire in Germany as judged by the quality of his offspring. He has continued to sire outstanding trainable horses in North America.
Her dam, Sevilla is a full sister to Spinnaker that had a median score of 64.5% at Intermediare I winning the USDF vintage cup at 10 years old among his many awards and accomplishments. (References available on request)
Sevilla is also a 3/4 sibling to Kostolany, one of Germany's outstanding sires and a Grand Prix dressage horse himself. Sevilla's sire, Enrico Caruso, was one of the best sport horse sires in the US, after producing many extremely good show horses, sires and top broodmares in Germany.
Sevilla's first filly is Serralinde. In her first year of showing she had a median score of 72% at 1st level and 70% at training level. The next year her median score at 2nd level was 66.8% and 62% at 3rd level. The next year, at 7years old, she scored over 60% in her first two 4th level classes. Then just for fun, Linda Strine entered Serralinde in some hunter shows and won several classes and championships. She says Serralinde is easy to train, a real natural.
