At his stallion test,Guy Laroche placed 4th among 22 stallions of different breeds.He was given 9’s for temperament,character and rideability.He got 8’s for dressage , free jumping,willingness to perform,walk and canter.
In his own show career,Guy won many young horse championships ,materiale classes,jumping and dressage competitions.He was trained to FEI level dressage by Uwe Sauer.

I absolutely never wanted to own a breeding stallion,but the 1st colt I got by shipped semen Guy Laroche was so good I thought "I'll just breed all my mares to him."So when I saw that Guy was for sale the following year,I did some investigating and found he had an excellent reputation in Germany for siring athletic offspring with good minds.So I went to see him for a few days to see for myself.I was definitely not going to buy him if his disposition,rideability,conformation,fertility etc. were not as great as they appeared.But he exceeded his videos,photos et al and his manners are very trustworthy.
And he likes to jump too.
