He will be a premier amateur or child’s hunter type, but could also rise to the top of the eventing field, with his fancy movement and careful, athletic jumping ability. He is cute, intelligent, cooperative, and a lovely, smooth mover who can win in the hack/equitation classes as well as over fences. He has been boarded at 2 different barns, walked out on the trails with company, and has just started jumping.
His sire, Rio Grande, recently died, but his successful career included representing Canada in the Olympics, and numerous jumping winnings at Spruce Meadows. His offspring have been very, very successful in the hunter and jumper rings and are prized for their love of jumping and sensible minds. Rio’s babies are difficult to acquire and seldom sold, which makes him a very good investment.

He is just now starting to jump at age 5, since his bones are now developed enough to handle jumping without long term soundness issues.
