Carte Blanche, is a gorgeous buckskin sabino warmblood colt with huge hind stockings, a front white sock, a lovely blaze, a white chin and several belly spot smudges.
Carte Blanche has an outstanding pedigree for any jumper enthusiast with the bonus of being a very flashy color. His dam is a proven show jumper who competed to 1.30m, and achieved her Sport predicate from the KWPN. His sire is our young imported Swedish stallion, Catapult, who is making his debut in the jumper ring this year.
Catapult is by Cagliostro 931, a Premeirad A Holsteiner/Swedish stallion, who was the high scoring jumper at his stallion testing in Sweden, and has a BLUP-index in jumping of 139 (BLUP-index ranked #19 of the top 350 stallions). Cagliostro is a member of the Finnish International Showjumping team and has won and placed in numerous Grand Prix and International competitions including the World Equestrian Games, the Nation’s Cup (FEI: CSIO4*), and the World Cup (FEI: CSI-W).
Dam, Travola, is by Baloubet du Rouet, who was declared the 2004 Best Horse in the World and with his rider Rodrigo Pessoa, won the Individual Gold Medal in show jumping at the 2004 Olympic games in Athens and were recipients of the Team Bronze Medal at the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney.
Maternal grandsire Nimmerdor was declared the Dutch Preferent Sire of the Century and competed in numerous World Cups and International competitions and was also selected for the Los Angeles Olympics.
Carte Blanche’s maternal and paternal dam lines are so impressive with world class mares including Ella, who produced the international show jumper stallion Constant and sire of the world-famous Olympian show jumper Chin Chin, Dorette, who produced Roman and Farn, the sire of the Dutch Preferent Sire of the Century, Nimmerdor, and also Gold Rose, who was a member of the French show jumping team and won the Grand Prix of Paris and Madrid and became second in Lisbon, Barcelona and Hamburg. Her total winnings were 621,000 Francs and she had an untouchable jumping index of 186! (For reference, Chin Chin’s index is 166).
Great grand sires include Ladykiller xx, Cor de la Bryère, Le Mexico, Almé, Ibrahim x 2, Galoubet A, and Grand Veneur, France’s leading sire based on the performance of his progeny especially his elite son, Le Tot de Semilly, are superior to have in any pedigree.
