June 2007 Update:
Violet is now qualified for the regional Championships for 1rst level. Will be ready to show 2nd soon.
UPDATE:
Violet has shown successfully at Training and First level, scoring in the high 60s and placing consistently in the top three. She is schooling most of 2nd level and FEI 5 year old tests.
She has very rhythmic and ground covering gaits, showing great potential both for extension and collection. A great prospect for the ambitious petite rider, junior or young rider, she turns heads everywhere she goes. Hacks out on the buckle, has been free-jumped and popped over small jumps under saddle. Very responsive to seat and weight aids, handles like a sports car.
Her sire, Don Frederico, is already making a mark for himself, consistently producing high-quality riding horses in Europe and the US. He scored 9's for walk, trot, and canter at his liscencing, winning the dressage portion and coming in second overall. Violet's dam sire, Weyden, is a very accomplished performance stallion, winning the individual Bronze and the team Silver at the 1996 Olympics for Holland, as well competing and winning many GP, including WEGs, Dutch National Championships, and European Championships. |
