Bocelli’s sire has shown and won open classes at Intermediare 1 at 8 years of age and will show I-2 in 2010. Cardi also won reserve in the Stallion championships and was champion Born in the USA stallion at Devon 2009. He has also been lauded for his talent and ability at recent clinics with Debbie McDonald and Conrad Schumacher. Undeniably an outstanding performer by any measure and already showing his prepotency as a sire. Bocelli strongly reflects his sire's character, temperament and outstanding movement - earning a premium award at his Weser-Ems inspection with many compliments over his type and ground covering elastic movement with much suspension. Bocelli’s dam, Mimosa, is a gorgeous MMB GOV/Weser-Ems Trakehner/Arab mare that herself shows considerable talent, rideability and outstanding work ethic, and currently is back in training in her own progression towards FEI levels - recently shown with scores to 78.4% at her first show back after her maternity leave, at her second show, she was high point open of the entire show with a 72.8%. Mimosa’s sire line descends from the famed Trakehner stallion, Marduc, renown in Europe for the success of his progeny at FEI levels. Her direct sire, Happy Hour, was imported from Denmark, a son of Induc who was the Bundeschampionat as a 4 year old and received the highest evaluation marks on rideablity and movement, ranging for 9.0 – 10.0. Bocelli is an excellent combination of both his sire and dam's outstanding qualities with an undeniable presence all his own plus breath-taking movement. He has sweet, inquisitive temperament, a true pocket pony character that loves attention. A quick learner, Bocelli always demonstrates his generous nature when handled. He will be an outstanding prospect for either professional or amateur to develop - will likely mature approx 15.2, but will be the ultimate sport horse ride or drive with his huge elastic movement.
