Finesse is a 15.2 hand bay ½ Arab ½ Oldenburg mare. She is sired by Fascination, a 16.3 hand bay Oldenburg stallion. Fascination is one of the leading producers of premium foals registered with the Oldenburg Verband in the US. He is sired by the immortal Furioso II and has the Absatz line from his dam, Armira II. Finesse is out of the TF Pensiw, a purebred Arab mare that has produced many excellent Arab/warmblood crosses. TF Pensiw is sired by the imported Polish stallion *Etiw. *Etiw was a National Top Ten Halter Stallion in the US and in Canada.
Finesse is registered with the Arabian Horse Association. She has also been inspected and is approved for breeding with the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society. She definitely leans more toward the Oldenburg in her build. She even though she is not super tall she is very big bodied and will take up a long leg well. She has had 2 foals, both sired by warmbloods (Oldenburg stallion Renaissance, Oldenburg stallion – Donnerwerth). She consistently throws large foals that have tons of substance and quality. Her pregnancies have all been uneventful and she is a great mother. Finesse would be an excellent addition to any brood mare herd.
Finesse is a very sweet and affectionate mare who is looking for someone to call her own. Her owner has lost interest and Finesse has just started back to work after having 10 months off. Prior to her vacation she was schooling all of 2nd level (leg yields, shoulder in, haunches, renvers, counter canter, walk pirouettes) and some of 3rd (half pass, reinback, mediums). She showed much talent for the lateral work! She is simple to put together and is always reaching for the bit, but is never heavy in the hand. Finesse is excellent on trails. She isn’t a complicated ride but she does require a confident rider. She will excel in both the Arabian Sport Horse ring and the open dressage ring.
She has great ground manners and has had some of natural horsemanship ground work (Buck Brannaman style). She also clips, loads and stands tied to the trailer, bathes and stands well for the farrier.
