2004 German Oldenburg Verband Registered Mare -Déjà Vu has a truly phenomenal character that must be seen to be believed. Her docile, kind-hearted nature makes this mare a pleasure to be around and work with on a daily basis. She passes this easy-going attitude onto all of her foals and she is an "easy breed" catching 1st time every breeding and on her foal heat in 2009. Deja Vu produced her first foal in 2009, Hypnotic by Harvard is stamped with her mothers friendly nature and high rideability. Her second foal Hathaway by Harvard was born in 2010 and was awarded the prestigious Foal Of Distinction Award by the German Oldenburg Verband at her Foal Inspection. "This award can be given to the most outstanding foals presented at an official inspection. The foals must be judged to have clearly extraordinary quality in conformation and movement by the inspection committee" (German Oldenburg Verband Rulebook Exceprt). This fully solidified our belief that this is lovely combination of blood and Deja Vu was rebred to Harvard for 2012. She produced a healthy,knockout colt on April 18, 2012 - day bay with a blaze and 4 white socks. Deja Vu has both under saddle dressage training and was also trained for harness by Randy Bird.
She is an exceptionally quiet brood mare; she easily clips, baths, braids, cross ties, trailer ties, ground ties, trailers and is excellent around children and dogs as well as with both the vet and farrier. She is a healthy mare without issues or vices. She is an "easy breed" typically catching on the first insemenation each time and standing quietly for her repo work with out tranq/twitching. She has great feet, no gastic, respiratory or colic issues. Requires no medication or maintenace. She is currently up to date on her wormings, is vaccinated for Rabies, Tetanus and Flu/Rhino EHV4-1 and has received her Pneumabort K shots throughout her 2012 pregnancy.
Deja Vu is an interesting mix of TB refining influence and classical German Blood. Her sire Guided Way xx, is a TB blend of some of the most prolific sires of the industry; Seattle Slew, Bold Ruler, Nijinsky, Lyphard and Northern Dancer. Deja Vu's dam was bred by Ann Kitchel of Huntington Farm who stood her sire Goldfuerst who won the Bundeschampionat as a young stallion in Germany and went on to compete at Grand Prix Dressage.
Deja Vu is a wonderful addition to any farm. She is a kind, calm, loving mare who is a fantastic mother. She currently will have her 2012 Harvard colt at her side until weaning time in the summer of 2012. She can be re-bred to the stallion of the buyers choice or purchased now as a package with her 2012 Harvard colt Hampton for 12,000 CDN.
